Full Root-level Access
What does the full root-level access option imply? What benefits will it bestow you with? How to log into your server as root?
Having full root-level access signifies that you'll be able to access and update any kind of file on a selected server, in addition to all of the system files, and to change system settings or install server-side software which may be necessary for specific scripts and even offline apps in order to work properly. A server is accessed at the root level through a root user, which has full privileges to do any of the abovementioned things. The root user may also create other users. For safety reasons, you're advised to have a different account for day-to-day tasks and to use the root account only if you actually need to do some task on the server. The root-level access function will give you full control of your server from any location, as long as you have the user credentials.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers
Our
VPS web hosting plans come with different degrees of access, in order to give you the option to select the one you need, depending on your level of experience and on what you will need the server for. When you get a VPS with no Control Panel, you will have full root-level access and you can control everything through a console, unless you install some third-party software tool. The servers that are ordered with the DirectAdmin or the cPanel web hosting Control Panel also come with full root access, however most of the things that are related to your online content can be done via a graphical interface and not a console. You will be able to install various different frameworks or media streaming software, for instance, without a problem. When you get your virtual server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you can still use a Secure Shell console to connect, however, the root access is reduced. Yet, the Hepsia-equipped servers are the simplest to control.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers
When you choose the cPanel or the DirectAdmin web hosting Control Panel, you'll have full root access to your new
dedicated server, regardless of which of our packages you will select during the registration process. Exactly the same is valid when you choose not to use a Control Panel at all. Our servers provide you with the chance to run both really resource-demanding apps which are too heavy for a standard shared website hosting account and apps that have certain requirements as to what the software environment on your hosting server should be. The latter is something that cannot be achieved on a shared machine, since no server-side software can be installed on it. The difference between the aforementioned choices is that without having a Control Panel, server management can be done only from a console, while if you get cPanel or DirectAdmin, most of the system settings as well as your website content will be controlled via a graphical interface. If you pick Hepsia, that is the last Control Panel option on the order page, you will have a server with restricted root access.
