A catch-all feature that is activated for a given e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the very same domain name, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you run some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only real messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
You’ll be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox without difficulty if you have a cloud hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet really easy to work with, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each of them you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable the feature, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have another one with this feature activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated hosting plan with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up using any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this functionality will be to click that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to turn off the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will let you know if you’re attempting to enable a 2nd catch-all address for a certain domain name or in case there is active email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or alter anything automatically and without your approval.
